Saxophonist Mike Murley is one of Canada’s most celebrated jazz artists. With fourteen Juno Award-winning recordings to his credit as a leader or sideman, Murley has enjoyed a career that has spanned a wide stylistic spectrum, including recordings with legendary Canadian artists such as the late Ed Bickert and Rob McConnell. More contemporary collaborations include projects with David Braid, David Occhipinti, and Metalwood. Murley has also recorded and performed with numerous international artists including David Liebman, Renee Rosnes, Norma Winstone, John Abercrombie, and Kenny Wheeler.  The Mike Murley Septet showcases some of Canada’s finest jazz artists performing his original compositions.
