Submissions for the 2017 Halifax Jazz Festival are now open! 

The Halifax Jazz Festival accepts artist submissions from Atlantic Canadian artists between October 5 and January 5 to be considered for the summer festival line-up. All applications must be made electronically by email.  Emailed submissions must include:

- a brief artist bio, noting recent career highlights and influences

- details about your project (ie. number of musicians on stage plus instrumentation, production requirements, etc.)

- links to stream music and/or video online (please do not send downloadable files)

- contact information

Canadian artists from outside of the Atlantic Provinces who have access to travel funding to perform at the TD Halifax Jazz Festival (Ie. A Canada Council for the Arts Music: Touring Grant or any other grant program that provides travel and tour support) can send submissions by email by September 23rd 2016 to be considered in the next year's line-up.

We do not accept unsolicited submissions from international artists at this time.

Non-jazz artists

Halifax Jazz Festival accepts submissions from artists who play a wide range of genres - including jazz and other improvised music, blues, world, soul, R&B, folk and various crossover musics.   


Due to the large volume of submissions we receive each year it is not possible to reply to all applicants.
