The TD Halifax Jazz Festival is for audiences of all ages, including kids!

Here are three free activities you can enjoy with your budding young musician:

1 Drop by the Kid Zone at Main Stage. There’ll be crafts, face painting and more every afternoon!

2 Take part in Splash! Bang! Boom!, music workshops for kids on Theodore Tugboat. Workshops run Thursday-Saturday, July 13-15, 10:00AM and 11:00AM.
Please note, no pre-registration is accepted; space is limited, first come first served so please arrive early.
Just wait by our Jazz Fest sign on the board walk (pictured above).

3 Start music appreciation early! Take your child to a free concert at the Main Stage, Hydrostone Park, or Halifax Public Libraries. Dancing is heartily encouraged!
For evening concerts at the Main Stage there is free admission for children under 10.
Please note, for all of these activities children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Minors attending the main stage concerts in the evening (7pm onward)
The TD Halifax Jazz Festival offers free admission for children under 10 at the Main Stage for evening performances. All minors under the age of 19 are required to be accompanied by their legal guardian (ID Required).
A legal guardian is recognized as someone who has been temporarily designated your legal guardian and has a letter from your parent or permanent legal guardian that confirms this. Letters should be dated, signed and have a contact telephone number. Please print and fill out the guardianship form by downloading it here.
