Andrew Miller Trio This new quartet features a book of compositions by Andrew Miller, emphasizing  space, rhythm, and musical dialogue. A graduate from the University of Toronto, he worked as one of the most in demand jazz drummers in Toronto. He is a recipient of the Stingray Rising Star Award, a two time recipient of the Jason Lang Scholarship, and a recipient of the Buddy DeFranco Outstanding Jazz Soloist Award.

Andrew has studied and mentored with: John Riley, Nick Fraser, Terry Clarke, Dan Weiss, Miles Okazaki, Vijay Iyer, Jacob Sacks, Matt Wilson, David Liebman, Ralph Alessi, and Jerry Bergonzi.

Since 2015, Andrew has been leading two of his own ensembles, Congruence, and Lewis/Downing/Vrankulj/Miller. Recently, Andrew has began writing a body of work for his newest project "The Andrew Miller Quartet". The Quartet features: Paul Tynan, Kenji Omae, and Ronald Hynes.

As a side man, Andrew has played with: Port Cities, David Liebman, Norma Winstone, Andrew Downing's Otterville, Mike Murley, Jim Vivian, Brad Roberts (Crash Test Dummies), Phil Nimmons, PJ Perry, Tommy Banks, Rich Brown, Neil Swainson, Jim Lewis, Terry Promane, Dillon Ponders, Terrell Morris, Ghettosocks, The Upstream Music Association, Halifax Dance, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, among others.

Andrew has a busy private studio in Bedford, Nova Scotia and presents school clinics around the maritimes.
